Optimizing conveyor technology with the AIT I-Point Solution
The AIT I-Point Solution offers an innovative and efficient way to improve conveyor technology in companies. Based on the proven AIT SmartGate, AIT Goehner develops individual scanning solutions that enable the automatic reading of 1D and 2D codes on VDA labels, HU labels and goods accompanying documents along the conveyor line, especially at the “I-point”.
Automated scanning in conveyor technology
The pallet is moved along a conveyor line through the AIT I-Point Solution and the system is automatically triggered by built-in light barriers. The system reads all 1D and 2D codes “on-the-fly” from up to five sides. This technology enables seamless integration into existing systems and processes, which increases efficiency.
Efficient data transmission and processing
The captured data is transferred to a higher-level system or controller via Profinet or TCP/IP. A built-in script also enables the codes to be pre-sorted, which further optimizes logistics and conveyor processes. If there are different labels with codes on the pallet, these can be pre-sorted and filtered according to priorities and logics.
